Polishing the Mirror of the Heart. 'We tried reasoning our way to Him—it didn't work. The moment we gave up, no obstacle remained. He introduced Himself out of kindness.' Polishing the mirror: reason fails—surrender works. Give up and He appears. The heart is a mirror—polish it and God reflects.
On the Altar of the Real
On the Altar of the Real. 'I feel shallow and phoney—do I not have a center?' Nobody can exist without a center—it must be rediscovered. On the altar of the real: the center is not created but rediscovered. The shallowness is the surface; the center is the depth. Don't despair—dig deeper.
Crying For The Light
Crying For The Light. 'He doesn't know his own self—how should he know the self of another? This is beyond the sage's grasp.' Crying for the light: the deepest longing is for the light of awareness. You can't know God until you know yourself. You can't know yourself until you stop trying to know. The fool thinks he knows—the sage knows he doesn't.
A Pearl of Exceeding Beauty
A Pearl of Exceeding Beauty. 'Buddha, Jesus, and you had no master—why do we need one?' Because you can't learn from life yet—you need a person. A pearl of exceeding beauty: the master is needed because you're not yet open to existence. The master is a bridge. When you can learn from existence directly, the master is no longer needed.

The Fire Test. 'The pure man unites two in one; the lover unites three in one.' The fire test: the path of love is tested in the fire of experience. Uniting two in one—body and soul. Uniting three in one—lover, beloved, and love itself. Don't get stranded on the bridge.

The Bridge of Love and Laughter. 'What is creativity?' Creativity is bringing awareness to what you do. The bridge of love and laughter: love and laughter are the bridge from the known to the unknown. Creativity is not talent—it's awareness. The creative person is the religious person.

Cooked and Burnt. 'A ruby is just a piece of stone. Silence is praise—have done with speech.' Cooked and burnt: the raw becomes cooked through experience, cooked becomes burnt through overdoing. Don't overcook—the right moment is just cooked. Silence is the highest praise. Chatter brings harm.

The Great Palace of Consciousness. 'Can cowardice and hypocrisy also be beautiful? If I accept them, how will I get free?' The desire to be free keeps you unfree. The great palace of consciousness: accept everything—cowardice, hypocrisy, miserliness. Acceptance is not approval—it's seeing without judgment. Freedom comes not from trying to be free but from dropping the desire.
A Wedding and a Wake
A Wedding and a Wake. 'For the wise man, evil and good are both exceeding good. No evil comes from God.' A wedding and a wake: the mystic sees good and evil as one. The wedding is the union with God; the wake is the death of the ego. Both happen together. Don't separate them—what looks evil may be God in disguise.
Something To Be Remembered
Something To Be Remembered. 'Why are the masses against Jesus, Buddha, and you?' Because the masses live like sheep. Something to be remembered: the master shakes the masses' foundations. If Jesus is right, their whole life pattern must change—that's too much work. The masses prefer slavery—they've invested too much in it.
